PRBB is the leading biomedical research cluster in Southern Europe where 1.500 people from 50 countries work in one open space connected to a university hospital and having an aggregated annual research budget of approx. 90M€.
This public initiative of the Government of Catalonia, the City Council of Barcelona and the Pompeu Fabra University (UPF), is with 55.000 m2 a large scientific infrastructure that gathers together six public research centers closely coordinated amongst them in an inter-institutional coalition.
PRBB generates high quality biomedical knowledge, because basic discovery today provides the foundation for tomorrow’s medicine. The park was inaugurated in May 2006, is fully operative and is at 100% occupation.
